RCCR spending a day at Brighton Festival of Ideas. We only had two sessions instead of the usual three due to the Auditorium being remodeled and the Gym was used as a staging area. The first session consisted of 19 students in grades 5-7, and 18 students in grades 3-4 for the second session. The students were shown the plans that were used to build a Bobcat, and demonstration of how deflecting surfaces control a plane’s flight. We had rubber band powered AMA Delta Darts and a R/C flight simulator for the students to use. They also had the opportunity to fly a remote controlled plane via wirelessly buddy box.
